Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer, who has been out of the Test team due to fitness issues, is aiming for a comeback.

He has been in great form in the Ranji Trophy. Iyer scored back-to-back centuries, including a double century against Odisha.

He is playing for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy. His batting style has been impressive, with a strike rate similar to his ODI style. In the match against Odisha, he scored a double century at a strike rate of 100.

This helped Mumbai cross the 500-run mark by the end of the first session on the second day. At the end of 113 overs, Mumbai were 502/3.

In the previous match, Mumbai faced Tripura, but Iyer was unavailable due to injury. However, he had earlier scored a century in the match against Maharashtra.

With his recent double century, Iyer has sent a clear message that he is ready to make his re-entry into international cricket.

Shreyas Iyer, who lost his place in the Indian Test team due to injury, was ruled out of the Test series against England.

He was also left out of the series against Bangladesh and New Zealand, as well as the Gavaskar Trophy. His exclusion came after he chose not to follow the BCCI's suggestion to play domestic cricket to regain match fitness.

India's top-order batsmen have struggled recently, and the Test team's 0-3 loss to New Zealand has raised concerns. Iyer's return to form offers hope, but it's still unclear if he will be called back to the Test team.
